In exceptional circumstances, the services of a staff member shall, within reason, be available to the University outside of normal working hours.


Payment or time off in lieu of overtime shall be in accordance with the University Policy which shall be based upon the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.


In certain instances, there may be a need for support staff to be on standby. In such an event, details thereof will be included in the staff members' letters of appointment. Staff on standby will be remunerated in accordance with prevailing University policy.
